Why?
1. Your girlfriend likes them, so you HAD to go with her?
2. You won some free tickets and thought: "Uh, why not! Let's have some teenage fun."
3. You actually really, really like them and don't feel ashamed about it.
4. You still have no F%c%i#g clue why you ended up there.
Were they any good? :)
Mmm! Long Blondes... Must see them!

I'm totally not ashamed; there's no doubt that McFly - even though being primarily aimed at children - aren't good pop music. Guitar-based boy bands with sunny melodies will always tickle my heartstrings.
October 3, 2005 09:08 AMI did not know them until I saw you're pictures/post. So, I checked out their website and listened to some soundclips. The only boyband I've ever really liked were Take That.
October 3, 2005 11:26 AMMcFly are massive over here; although i suppose they're more in my sphere of influence cos i work for one of the big pop magazines...
I think you'll find that McFly are similar to Take That in more ways than is at first apparent. They had a bit of a Gary Barlow/A Million Love Songs section in the gig on Saturday!
Just to fill in your knowledge if you're interested: McFly are kind of a Busted spin-off band in that they were formed/signed by Island Records to fill a gap in the market that Busted were trying to move away from. Also James Bourne from Busted (now Son of Dork) writes a lot of McFly's songs...
October 3, 2005 11:57 AMYeah, they reminded me of Busted. Do you know that Busted are/were called Bust in Holland, because there's already a band called Busted over here.
