Swish Blog Playlist Mix 13-09-05
September 13, 2005
Last night I went to an Artrocker night at The Garage and watched Twisted Charm (Nathan's backcombed hair is getting out of control), Black Wire (Dan gets prettier every day... Si is obviously starting to think that he's in Vincent Vincent & The Villains) and Test Icicles (who, whilst playing Boa vs. Python exclaimed "anyone who bought this single is a retard!"); it was amazing...
The Test Icicles album is out soon, and I was lucky enough to get a 5-track sampler thingy of which the first track in this week's mix, Pull The Lever, is from.

:-) If everything goes as planned I might be in London from 24th/25th October. I hope I will... I would really want to go to that Adventures In The Beetroot Field festival at the end of October. Especially the one on Saturday at Koko in Camden.

2. I am now obsessed with this song.
September 20, 2005 09:56 AM13. Sounds a bit like they copied and pasted 'Catch It' rather than going to the studio as said to record the riffs and screams.
14. Thank you! Optimo played this followed by Led Zepplin's 'When the Levee Breaks' a couple Sunday's ago, but I didn't know it was real.
15. Never realised how much she sounds like David Bowie
2. I am now obsessed with this song.
Me too! It's such a catchy song.
@ http://www.myspace.com/goodshoes are three more of their catchy songs.

that's exactly what they've done i'm sure, it's exactly the same massive bass sound...
And Nicole (and Nilina if you're interested) you can get loads more Good Shoes stuff here

September 20, 2005 05:11 PMI'm impatient. When the next playlist coming out?
September 23, 2005 08:14 AMwas meant to do it on wednesday but i forgot. looks like it'll have to be tomorrow now - don't fret, it will arrive!
Last night Helenium and I got Rooster and LoveBites shoes for Popstar Feets, woo!
September 23, 2005 11:02 AMOh no! People are acknowledging LoveBites existance! I'm scared!
September 23, 2005 12:21 PMLoveBites rock! Helen and I saw them last night and they were really cool; I don't mind a bit of cheese every now and again - even polished media-trained island records cheese - AND they play their own instruments!
September 23, 2005 01:43 PMThis is probably not the right place to ask this, but.... Chris (or someone else), do you know where I can get 'Adventures In The Beetroot Field festival' tickets. No one seems to know. :(
September 30, 2005 11:36 AMTheir website http://www.adventuresinthebeetrootfield.com/ has this phone number on it for enquiries/bookings 07802 947253. Try that I reckon. x
