It’s well known that a lot of American (read NYC) bloggers enjoy the sounds of M.I.A. (in the same way that they collectively went after The Arcade Fire towards the end of last year). It was a major surprise to me however that a blogging stand-up comedian was able to ask, “You guys heard of M.I.A.?” at one of his stand-up shows, and for everybody to nod their heads in agreement. Haha, I thought that was pretty funny too, hence my "hipster threshold reached" comment. Keep in mind though, that show is in the East Village and is the hipster comedy show of choice - so we're talking target audience of M.I.A.

Cheers Aziz, it's funny but I suppose M.I.A. has only really broke into hipster territory over here too. She deserves to be much bigger than she is.

Anyway best of luck with attempting to bed Maya (oh no sorry, i mean get her to fix your laptop).
